Facts and figures
In 2004, BNB Concept SA began with four people. In 2009, it now employs
almost 200 people, an expansion of 200% since its foundation.
It dedicates itself to the research, development and making of small
series of watchmaking movements with complications. It supplies firms
of international fame, who can add them to their range of complicated
timepieces, often as world premieres.
A majority shareholding is held by Mathias Buttet, president; his only
partner is EPF Partners, a French group, with a minority holding. As
part of this operation, EPF also supported Mathias Buttet in the recomposition
of BNB’s capital, allowed him to take control of the company he
founded. BNB has paid its own way since day one.

Mathias Buttet, founder and president
of BNB Concept SA
BNB possesses five production sites: Duillier (the main site),
Crans-près-Céligny, Vallée de Joux, La Chaux-de-Fonds
and Nyon.
Some of its achievements:
The BNB1000 Tourbillon
The first movement to be developed by BNB has taken on numerous and
very different forms.
The Tourbillon-Chrono with BNB1450 column wheel
This has enabled clients to offer such collectors’ watches as
Hublot’s Bigger Bang.
The BNB 9031-T
In a less classical register but fitted with the latest engineering,
the BNB9031-T (sold under the New York brand of JACOB & Co) beat
the power reserve record at Basel 2006, operating for 31 days and thus
pulverising the previous record.
The BNB6000 – The Minutes Repeater with Tourbillon
A great and prestigious classic.
The BNB5000 – two-axis Tourbillon
The “Vulcania” currently offered by HD3.
The BNB2222 - Double Tourbillon (Day & Night)
The Day & Night is a timepiece that pays homage to Romain Jérôme’s
movement, the “RJ One”, developed as an exclusive by BNB.
It comprises two tourbillons underlying a differential system whose
transmission of energy symbolises the passage from one life to another.
Each tourbillon defines and counts a slice of life respectively totalling
12 hours. The Tourbillon Day, which operates by day, defines the period
of activity of the wearer and stops after 12 hours, passing the baton
to the Tourbillon Night, dedicated to the wearer’s private life.
Initially, R.J. Watches opted to present this watch without an hours,
minutes and seconds function, thus proposing a new measure of time articulated
around the two Tourbillons functioning sequentially: a world first.
